GENERAL
SAFETY TIPS
|
 |
|
- READ
posted rules.

- OBSERVE
age, height and weight restrictions.

- FOLLOW
instructions of ride operator.

|
- KEEP
hands, arms and legs inside ride at all times.

- USE
safety equipment such as a seat belt, shoulder
harness, lap bar or chain when provided.

in ride until it comes to a complete stop.
|
SAFETY
TIPS FOR PARENTS |

To
ensure the safety of a child, particularly
a small child, several steps should be taken.
Before placing the child on an amusement ride,
a parent relying on his or her knowledge of
their child's capabilities should assume an
active role in determining whether or not
a particular ride is appropriate for the child.
|
Common
Sense Steps May Make the Difference
-
WATCH the ride in operation and
make sure your child can ride it safely.
- OBSERVE
the operator.
|
- EXPLAIN
to the child about appropriate behavior:
keeping hands and feet inside, sitting down,
holding on, and obeying the ride operator's
instructions.
- DO
NOT force your child to ride if
he or she is frightened. A scared child on
the ground may well panic in the air.
|
| CARNIVAL
AND FAIRS GENERAL SAFETY |

The following tips will help keep your family's
trip
to the park, fair, or carnival an enjoyable experience. |
-
Designate an easily recognizable place to
meet your child in the case of separation
in a crowd.

-
Because it is difficult to control children
in such an exciting environment, try to have
an adult supervise every two children.
|
- Wear
sensible clothes and shoes.

Carnivals and fairs are usually on rough ground
and because it is a temporary situation cables
and hoses are laid on top of the ground and
so the whole area is a small obstacle course.
